Who
Can Be a Member While CEA is dedicated to serving all counties throughout
the United States, those eligible to become members meet the following criteria:
- The prospective member
must be a duly elected officer of a county government within the boundaries of
the United States.
- The
prospective member must be elected by the duly represented entirety of the county
population.
- The
prospective member must actively participate in the formulation of policy and
budgetary execution.
- The
prospective member must act as the chief executive officer of county government.
The Most for
Your Money CEA believes that all counties, large and small, ought to be
represented. So we've made joining CEA easy and affordable through our unique
annual dues payment plan based on a formula of one cent per county resident as
listed in current population figures. For example, a county with a population
of 100,000 will pay annual dues of $1,000. We
also strive to make our dues structure fair and flexible to best suit your
annual
county budget. Our billing cycle begins on January 1 and ends on December 31.
However, counties that join during the fiscal year will pay a prorated amount
